I am looking forward to a trip to Austin, Texas in late May. I checked out a couple of hotel prices and they are steep if they even have rooms available. I am thinking there must be a convention of some type.
I heard back from my paternal birth brother’s family and they are thrilled I am coming. We are having the debate about how and where to meet in Austin. Hotel, restaurant, their house. They are concerned I would be bored driving an hour north of the city but it doesn’t phase me at all. I like to get off the beaten track.
I haven’t heard back yet from my brother who lives in Austin. I hope he will be available those two days. I am assuming it will all work out. He mentioned a nice older hotel named The Driskill (pictured above) in Austin that is rumored to be haunted. I checked and the rooms are very pricey but it might be worth it. I wonder if I would be woken by a spirit in the night?
